We typically work with our artificial rock product in three distinct ways. Explore these methods below.
Traditional Concrete Backfill
We begin by constructing a robust rebar framework. Each rock formation, made from precisely crafted castings, includes embedded 8-gauge galvanized wire, which is securely tied into the rebar frame. For exceptional stability and durability during the concrete backfilling process, these formations are further reinforced with 2x4 supports.
Welded to Steel Frames
Welding to steel frames is one of our most efficient methods. This technique facilitates the creation of prefabricated structures, which can be shipped with features such as forklift pockets or anchor points for easy hoisting. Our castings come with embedded threaded inserts on the backside, enabling J-bolts to be securely fastened and welded to the steel frame, ensuring optimal durability and precision.
Veneered Walls
This efficient method enhances the texture and character of existing pool shells, offering a rock finish as an alternative to plaster or tile. Castings can cover up to 40 square feet swiftly, being securely attached through pre-drilled holes and bolts, and then concealed with Type S mortar for a polished appearance. The process is durable, rapid, and visually appealing, making it ideal for large-scale or time-sensitive projects.
